| 294359 | 2004-11-20 09:36:00 | This computer has got 3 ventilation fans: 1 attached to the PSU, 1 located at the rear, about 40 mm below the PSU and another small fan at the front panel, all blowing air OUTWARDS. Is this correct? The rear and the front panel fans have got a power cord with 2 connectors - one female and one male. I wonder these are for controlling the direction of airflow? Cheers |

Blowing out > at the front would tend to create dead spots inside > the case. Should be push pull, because the PSU 99% time Extract from box. Its the same as a covered stationary engine, best setup is lightly pressurise the box, so that extractor, and engine/cpu fan's work at maximum efficency, and light load. In a box inducton fan/vents very good places to tape some simple foam filters, can preserve value and life of components very cheaply and simply, easy to fit. D. |
