294658 2004-11-21 16:30:00 Hi Bobdobalina,
put the following line in google and it gives you a list of programs that do:

photos +bulk name

Sorry, but am too lazy to type them up, but hope this helps you out. First one sounds good and does it quickly. However there will be other posters getting out of bed soon who can tell you of programs they've actually tried and found to be really good.

294659 2004-11-21 17:55:00 You can rename bulk files of any type. Try:

www.1-4a.com which is a freeware programme.

Or do a Google search for "rename files"

294660 2004-11-21 19:33:00 I have used 2 programs in the past: Rename4U and CKRename. Both are freeware, and you can rename photos in bulk, including giving then sequential numbers etc. somebody (208)
294661 2004-11-21 19:54:00 Are you familiar with Irfanview? It's a highly recommended image processing program that includes batch photo (re)naming.
What's more it is free for personal use, click here (http://www.irfanview.com) to go to the website.

294662 2004-11-21 20:32:00 What version of Windows are you running? It is not as elegant as dedicated renaming programs but Windows XP can rename all your files consecutively for you.

Just select all the files (CTRL+A) then press F2 and type in your desired file name, eg holiday.jpg and press Enter. Windows will then rename all the others as holiday.jpg (1), holiday.jpg (2), etc.
