| 295126 | 2004-11-23 00:27:00 | Interesting to see that the USGS have the NZ daylight saving conversion the wrong way. :D They have the Local Time as 7:26:25, whereas ( NZST is 8:26:25) NZDT is 9:26:25. This is why UTC ("GMT") is always used for scientific purposes ... the time of this event was "20041122 202625". This way it can be sorted, and there's no ambiguity with silly US date formats ... As soon as anyone starts converting to and from local times they make mistakes. It becomes worse when newspapers convert again. You can get quite a range of times. :-( |
