1374756 2014-05-11 22:37:00 Thank you Press F1 Forum
My PC Building skills have just had a huge growth spurt.
I have NO PROBLEMS TO REPORT! - Perhaps it is tempting fate to say that, it is early days after all.
Well.... there were two minor glitches, I was sold the wrong wireless card and my old keyboard only had a DIN connector and there is no DIN socket on the Asus Gryphon motherboard. Both easily remedied.
Total cost for the build was just under $1500. So I am going to shout myself a new keyboard and mouse, the wireless card will be exchanged and we are all good.
It isn't the sleek stylish Alienware X51 case, but it certainly is performing. Can anyone suggest how I could benchmark test it?

Once again thank you all for your support and encouragement.

PS: With the money I didn't spent on the new PC, thanks to you guys I can now have one of these (www.photowarehouse.co.nz) :D

1374758 2014-05-11 23:31:00 I suggest some burn in tests to catch any problems early.

Fur-mark to test the graphics card and see how hot it gets under worst case
Prime 95 and a temp monitoring program such as realtemp to stress test the CPU
And run the full long test of Mem-test at least once, preferably a few times

We are all guilty of skipping these sort of tests many times but it is better to stress it out while new than find out stabilty issues later on.
Mem-test in particular proved some problems with the RAM in my last build, I ended up changing brands as a result.
