1374598 2014-05-10 03:33:00 I would like to build a computer but it's been over 3 years since I built one. What would be my best buy for the buck? I'm thinking top of the line i5 because I don't need an i7, I guess? I have the case, CD, 750 power supple, 120 GB SSD drive for the C drive and lots of hard drives. So I need a CPU up to $250 a motherboard up to $200 RAM for up to $100 and a good Video card but I would like to keep it around $200 for games. These are just guideline prices so I would sure like some advice? lostsoul62 (16011)

getting an i5 for $250 will only be bottom end. the top end are over $300

Some examples from various stores: ( look for Socket 1150)

While on Computer Lounges site have a look at their Boards, not a lot for $200 and under, but are a few.

1374602 2014-05-11 09:09:00 If you want to do it cheap you could opt for a B85 motherboard, you lose a couple Sata ports and some overclocking features is about all;

www.computerlounge.co.nz $129.95
www.computerlounge.co.nz $269.95
www.computerlounge.co.nz $159.95

or $552 all up if you buy as a combo, probably better to go for the playtech one rony linked though but there's not much in it.

As for graphics, a R7 260X or GTX 750 is about the best you can do for $200, both are fairly good entry level game cards.
