A friend who works overseas at a uni doing admin work has a professor who is visiting - what would be your suggestion for a restaurant? They wanted NZ lamb and wine . My friend suggested Rooftop but I thought that was overrated . Cheers . |

Seems like Bacchus might be the better one for this type of food. The top rated ones tend to be cafes or bistros or of a different ethnic cuisine. A no. of the fine dining restaurants are lower ranked 20th or down, Bacchus is a 12th or something. They even put "Asian" around 10th but it was quite a bit lesser I thought after returning back from Wellington. Palms isn't active anymore from what I read, is that the one near the railway station we went there as a group but I thought the seasoning was a bit too light, ditto with the one over at Esplanade. |
