| 1359674 | 2013-11-13 19:00:00 | They changed from Global Warming to Climate change because there's a some dispute as to whether it's actually warming or cooling and all they are really certain of it's that it's changing, and despite claims to the contrary are not even able to prove definitively what's causing it and how much effect we're having. Anyone putting any faith in politicians for scientific information deserves what they get, it's like taking engine advice from a used car salesman. | dugimodo (138) | ||

| 1359676 | 2013-11-13 19:26:00 | I think mankind has been on earth for 1 million years (Neaderthal) or 10,000 years (modern man, egypt etc) The worlds climate has changed many times in that time. (not many gas guzzling cars in those days....) I am not a greenie, but I could accept them talking about Global warming. But climate change ia just crap. |

Seems to happen ever 1000 years or so.. |

| 1359678 | 2013-11-13 20:34:00 | I think mankind has been on earth for 1 million years (Neaderthal) or 10,000 years (modern man, egypt etc) The worlds climate has changed many times in that time. (not many gas guzzling cars in those days....) True. But we chopped down 90% of the earth forests & burn carbon to the extent whole cities are covered in a layer of smoke (even in NZ) Tell me how that wont effect CO2 levels, in the long term.... I think we burn a heap more carbon now than we did 10000 years ago, there also werent quite as many people burning carbon 10000 years ago. The arguments put up by the deniers , are more stupid than the climate change arguments . Just because the climate also changes due to other effects(long term) , doesnt mean that man can do what ever he wants & have absolutely no effect. Im not saying there arnt other factors involved, Im not denying we cant really predict what will happen regardless in the next 50 years . About 30 years ago, I remember scare talk of the next oncoming global ice age & was talk of what mankind would need to do to prevent it. So there is ALOT of BS , lies & manipulation of data on both sides of the argument. Just sit back & watch, there is nothing any of us can do about it, the biggest CO2 producing countries will never stop what they are doing. We can no longer believe the PROPAGANDA from either side of the debate |
