I cannot return it. If I am not overclocking does it matter which RAM slots I use? |

According to the manual, the yellow slots are for overclocking. But the manual doesnt say you have to use them. You'll find out, put ram in the other slots, see if it turns on |

I tried and it worked by rotating, the clip goes over the yellow wing :blush: If the slots are closer to the CPU they should work faster in theory right. |

If the slots are closer to the CPU they should work faster in theory right.
If those slots are for overclocking they probably paid more attention to the track layouts to ensure signal integrity at higher speeds, at stock speed it might not make a difference though. |
