Play Store didnt come crashing down like last year, but rather instead this year the orders were "processed" and then they were subsequently cancelled for no damn good reason. So, I'm a thousand bucks short on my order now until they refund the "hold" on the funds on my credit card. Then I can place the order again. Aus Play Store one is slightly different to the US Play Store one. Aus has better 4G LTE frequencies suited to what NZ will be using I believe. A minor issue, but one worth mentioning. |

| 1358565 | 2013-11-04 08:29:00 | Coz they cost significantly more. Importing a single Nexus 4 cost me just shy of $500 back in the day once I'd figured out the best way to do it. Buying a Nexus 4 from 2Degrees was $800 at launch. The Warehouse had them for $700 for a temporary special. If you figure that both my wife and I got one (Not to mention I imported for approx 8 PF1'ers, my father, brother, and a couple of other mates), that's $1600 for the cost of two Nexus 4s vs $950 for buying from the US Play Store. At that rate, I'm legit better off buying a spare to keep... Or spending $600 on a graphics card (Which I think I actually ended up buying a 6970 with the money)... Or buying another to hock off on TradeMe and make a further ~$100 -> $150 off it! So yeah, that's why not to wait :D |
