295801 2004-11-24 06:46:00 Does anybody know where i would be able to buy Visual Studio 6 thewhiz (4002)
295802 2004-11-24 07:51:00 Nope,

I don't know if VS6 is sold new anymore, however Vis.NET is probably more likely. Some people don't like .NET though, especially if they are used to 6.

Best bet is 2nd hand I would say.

295803 2004-11-24 07:56:00 Hi, this is the version before Net? If so you could try trade and exchange or somewhere similar as Ive only seen the Net version in shops. Be careful of the version you buy though as MS have put out several versions of Net - Academic, Standard, Professional & Enterprise so be sure to check its capabilities versus what your wanting to do. parry (27)

295805 2004-11-24 08:00:00 I bought Compaq Visual Fortran 6.6 from HRS in Hamilton a year ago.
Not sure if that is the same thing, but I understood the IDE was the same for Fortran, C, VB, etc. It's got a multi-coloured infinity sign as its logo. It used to be called Visual Studio I think.....

295807 2004-11-24 08:58:00 Trademe?
if you're a student you might be able to get the student pack from Microsoft - give them a ring. Although you'll pay for it - i think the standard edition is at least $300
