| 295781 | 2004-11-24 09:15:00 | As per above, pull it out discretely, if it reappears, get in touch with the local TA and ask what the locals rules are or have a look at the district plan yourself (hopefully it's online). If it's a state highway TA bylaws wont apply to the road reserve, but Transit NZ will and the LTSA may . The Resource Management Act will apply everywhere, although I'm not sure what it says regarding signage without having a look. How well is your boundary defined, does the sign encroach or is it using the fence in any way for support. You may not want to go too far down the boundary track unless you know for sure where it is, the fence ain't necessarily it. |

Pull it off the frame now, and also complain to the locall estate agents authority reinz or whatever it is, as well as the councill. It is not only an eye sore but causing invasion of your privacy and possibly placing your propety at risk from burgulars using the sign as an excuse to closly inspect you property and challets. When Bleating, add icing. D. |

You could put your house up for private sale, priced at least twice its true value with no offers. (You never know, someone might even buy it!) Put up two large signs, one outside the house down the street and one directly in front of the existing sign outside your place. Although it might cost a bit, you might be able to get some payment for the news coverage you will generate. :D |
