296443 2004-11-25 21:52:00 I've seen this problem occur on several laptops at work. When the desktop loads the icons appear as normal, but the laptop is unresponsive to mouse clicks. If the mouse pointer is moved onto the taskbar it changes to the hourglass (indicating activity).

Ending the rundll32.exe process in Task Manager restores the laptop to responsiveness. There is no error message that appears when the desktop loads. I've seen this behaviour occur in several laptops running Win XP Pro with SP1. Any thoughts on this and how I can prevent this hanging?
