296959 2004-11-27 11:16:00 What is a barebone pc? Searched the web but couldn't get much info. bk T (215)
296960 2004-11-27 11:36:00 Search your local computer shops.

It is usually a shuttle case with a mobo and psu.

296961 2004-11-27 11:51:00 It can mean that, but often means a normal PC with:

Case
Motherboard
PSU & CPU

Then you just add in some RAM and a Hard/CD/Floppy drive and you're set to go.

296962 2004-11-28 10:05:00 barebones only seem to be common with small factor pc's now , i guess with all the customization with normal computers these days there is no need noone (22)
296963 2004-11-28 23:34:00 they are darn nice little things, but you start to get into problems when you wanna add more stuff to it like a graphics card, to put it in i had to take everything out to install it(cdroms, hdd) and then put it all back together, its a real pain, i only have 1 pci slot which is taken for my modem. never again Prescott (11)
