| 297316 | 2004-11-28 09:22:00 | A couple of weeks ago, I posted a reply to another Press F1 users problem with Ad aware SE Personal indicating that I had the same problem. That problem being that the programme hangs in performing a full system scan at about the same point, in my case, after scanning about 120,000 odd files. No definitive explanation was forthcoming but I amwondering if any other user has now experienced a similar problem and found a solution. I have tried uninstalling the programme and reinstalling with no luck.I have also run a registry checker (System Mechanic). My system is WinXP SP2. | Smurf (506) | ||

| 297319 | 2004-11-29 02:52:00 | Thank you Pulling Hait Our and Beama.Yep have tried altering settings to no avail. Hard drive activity ceases at about the same spot each attempt and continues to hang literally for hours | Smurf (506) | ||

| 297323 | 2004-11-29 08:19:00 | Me again. Last time honest. Was just filling in time before visitors arrived. Also on that forum they started repeating the same message for the freezing situation. here (www.lavasoftsupport.com) You'll notice at the bottom of it it says the following: ...If you still have a problem, cancel BEFORE the scan reaches the point of stalling -- say after 20 objects are detected. Then click cancel and click on the logfile. Remove any objects you choose and rescan. Again stop the scan before it reaches the point of stalling and remove any additonal objects. Then try a full scan without stopping it. It should work for you. |
