297368 2004-11-28 09:20:00 i got a 1.5 ghz pentium 4/ 512 mb ram computer, and i want to but a new video card(mainly to play games with) . Im prepared to pay plus minus $300, can you help me choose the correct video card please? flamingmofo (6476)

the second one has a higher memory clock - thus more fps (in theory)

Whatever you do: DO NOT get a Geforce FX. They are totaly useless at DirectX 9 based games (that use pixle shaders etc)

297372 2004-11-28 18:21:00 If you can wait a bit for the GeForce 6600GT AGP to come out, that will be the best mid-range card you can get. Right now though, it's the 9800pro, you can get them for around $350. Wilky (776)
