| 297276 | 2004-11-28 08:22:00 | Greetings, Just finished fixing a Win98 box for a mate - When I do the install, the extraction gets to 100% and then the process appears to die? Any ideas? I had a quick Google and it didnt do much good....... Cheers Chill. |

| 297283 | 2004-11-28 09:06:00 | Try a manual extraction of all the files, any zip utility should be able to read a self-extracting file like that. Just extract the files to a directory and install from those files extracted. Since it says 100% done, it's quite possible that the extraction into a temp directory worked, it seems to just be having problems getting the setup file to start it, which is probably why it's stopped at 100% and hasn't switched to the installer yet. It maybe a corrupt download? Kame |

| 297285 | 2004-11-28 10:45:00 | chill just another thought that may help and I have struck this with 98 on an install before but not firefox SPY BOT, if it has the resident scanner (tea timer) installed and active, stops registry writes, you can temporary disable this by right clicking on the its icon in task bar (down by the clock) |
