297296 2005-01-01 21:05:00 What is wrong with using webmail? Couldn't you go into their webmail and delete the junk from there first? FoxyMX (5)

297299 2005-01-26 17:47:00 I ran across your post when I was having the same problem with an old Win98 machine and thought I'd pass along what worked for me. After upgrading IE4, and installing all the 'Critical Updates,' both Firefox and Thunderbird installed with no problem.

Hope this helps someone else.

Make sure you activate the Spam Filter on their Ihug account, it is not on by default.
It works very well, catches 99% of spam emails and I check the blocked junk ocasionally but have never had a genuine email flagged as spam yet.

297301 2005-06-04 12:03:00 Greetings,

Just finished fixing a Win98 box for a mate - When I do the install, the extraction gets to 100% and then the process appears to die?

Any ideas?

I had a quick Google and it didnt do much good.......

Cheers

Chill.

Had same problem, until IE updated to v.5. Then it was ok
