| 297786 | 2004-11-29 11:00:00 | Best option is to save it. No correct place to save as such, I just create a folder on the desktop to download stuff to. | Raikyn (6293) | ||

Usually do not save drivers to the same partition as the operating system resides on unless you only have one partition. Do you want to download again in the event the c: drive needs formatting? Before you download anyrhing then create Folders to download into. C:\Downloads D:\Downloads for example. D:\Downloads\Drivers D:\Downloads\Utilities D:\Downloads\Pictures D:\Downloads\Music Replace drive letter with C: E: F: etc depending on partitions and drives. |

| 297790 | 2004-11-29 12:46:00 | IN addition Any S/W drivers Downloaded should be kept/backed up in another medium of some kind and noted as to; what, where, why. then if you have to do a disatrer or generall reinstall you have them all. This is the/my main issue with M/S and its Update programs. I end up with out a reinstallable copy of everything, so they turned off. D. |
