I know what you mean David,when I was helping to build cathedrals,it could take up to three hundred years,time didn't matter,life was so much simpler,if only we could go back to the likes of 3.1,ah those were the days.

Is this like the Tooheys advert? Yeah right! :-)

Also try going back to Win 3.1 with a modern day hard drive.

Only joking and pleased to see you fixed the problem.

That's strange . The page opens fine for me with Opera and Internet Explorer but not with Firefox . :confused:

Oh well, I'll copy and paste here then:

Copy the following into a new Notepad document and save it to your Desktop as "ToolTips . reg" . Remember to select "All files" in the Save As dropdown box so that it does not save it as a Text file .

Close the file then double-click it on your Desktop and choose Yes to merge with the Registry .

Windows Registry Editor Version 5 . 00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop]
"UserPreferencesMask"=hex:90,32,07,80

297829 2007-06-23 08:23:00 Whether the date is shown or not is determined by the size of your taskbar .

In other words, will it fit?

I've always used a double row taskbar, which is big enough for the time AND the date to be displayed on it . I recently changed the default 'font size' to 'large' and noticed the date had disappeared . Increasing the font size to 'large' had reduced the available space on my taskbar . There was no longer enough room to display the date .

Fix - Increase the size of my taskbar to 3 rows .

I'm sure theres a tweak out there somewhere that allows you to remove the date, without having to reduce to the size of the taskbar to a point that it's automatically removed by windows due to unavailable space . But then is having both the time and date displayed really a problem? What, were you planning to sell off the space it takes up for your retirement fund?

Anyhoo, just thought I'd fill you in .
