2004-11-29 11:13:00 | Somehow I have made the date permanently displayed on the taskbar in Windows XP. How do I change it back to display only when I wipe the mouse over the time please. Dave.

2004-11-29 11:23:00 | Its meant to show on the taskbar...If u put your mouse over it, it shows the day and date. | Spacemannz (808) | |
2004-11-29 11:52:00 | right click the taskbar,select properties,untick show clock on taskbar..... | metla (154) | |

I would suggest right click on taskbar and unlock. Click show time. Not sure how to get rid of date other than right click date and exit. |

2004-11-29 23:57:00 | Apparently I didn't make myself clear. I want the clock on the taskbar as it normally is. But I have both time and date showing permanently. I want to get rid of the date showing permanently. I want the date to be displayed only when I hover the mouse pointer over the time as is normal. Dave.

2004-11-30 10:01:00 | Thanks a lot folks, Windows XP style shows time, day and date: Classic style shows time and day only. I've fixed the problem, but don't exactly know how. I showed/hid the taskbar several times and the display reverted to what I wanted. It was all so simple with Windows For Workgroups 3.1. Nothing EVER went wrong. Dave.
