2004-11-30 09:48:00 | It's not JSG. It's not Spyware. It's nothing on YOUR pc at all. It is in fact the Messenger Service, where somebody has sent you a network message. They probably sent it to a broadcast address, which got you. The solution is to get a personal firewall app like ZonaAlarm, or disable the messenger service. It's in services. Cheers George

2004-11-30 09:49:00 | those sort of pop ups come from other sites and normally pop up at intervals , i got them alot to and the only way i seem to be able to kill them is by using a firewall and finding the file thats causing it and denying it from opening | noone (22) | |
2004-11-30 09:53:00 | As George has already said this is not caused by any site,Its a service built into windows for people to send messages to everybody else on the network...it is simply being exploited by people over the net,Go into services and kill off the messenger service. | metla (154) | |
2004-11-30 09:53:00 | Right click My Computer, choose Manage. Computer Management, Services and disable Messenger Service. It's a hole you can drive a truck through, no need to block it with a firewall if it's turned off. | Murray P (44) | |
2004-11-30 09:56:00 | You can disable Messenger Services in the Admin Tools section > Services, or download and run this - Shoot The Messenger (grc.com). Your ZoneAlarm should of stopped this tho?

2004-12-01 03:00:00 | net send [ip address/computer name] [message] Messenger service must be enabled (it is by default). It only works on Win2K and XP.
