| 298180 | 2004-11-30 06:13:00 | All the power cords are plugged in correctly as they were before when it ran. Any ideas? The only thing I've changed since it ran is I reseated a stick of RAM, can't imagine why that would change anything. Asus p4s800d-e, pentium 4 HT 3.2 ghz, 450 watt psu, win XP. |

| 298186 | 2004-11-30 09:18:00 | good thing that mobos today come with rpm readings and give warinings when the fan is playing up or else you may have yourself a burnt cpu - among other things - or though you might smell the burning before then | noone (22) | ||
| 298187 | 2004-11-30 09:25:00 | The PC usually locks up, warning you that something may be amiss, before you smell burning. It's happened to me before - lock up, press reset and nothing. That instantly alerted me, and lo and behold the fan was slightly stuck. Pays to check that if you get a lockup, then nothing, then it goes after being off for an hour or so. |
