| 298152 | 2004-11-30 03:35:00 | Does anyone know if Google Toolbar is available for Mozilla Firefox. I am particularly interested in the Autocomplete function which is sadly lacking in Firefox. A standalone Autocomplete extension would do just as well. |

When I upgraded to Firefox 1.0, it told me I couldn't have it - an annoyance I've been living with. Jim B's link raised my hopes. But in spite of the download link giving info for the Google version required, Firefox 1.0 still won't download it "to protect" me. Can anyone explain this? (Just my own security settings too high or somesuch?) And is there a work-around? |

| 298156 | 2004-11-30 06:21:00 | Jims link worked for my firefox 1.0. I just had to click the 'edit options' button on the warning popup and give it permission to install. Thanks Jim. Google Toolbar was the only thing I missed about IE :) |

His reference to a "warning popup" mystified me at first (Firefox doesn't do popups, which is one of its charms). But once I registered the Edit button to the right of the yellow-backed message at the top of the page, I could manage the instructions from then on. So it's worth another try. |
