298267 2004-12-03 02:41:00 Another thought ... you aim is to have and use krecord. :D

"krecord mandrake" to google finds you a link to "RPM Search Mandrakeclub_nl". That has what looks like a ready to run rpm file.

Get that, and, as root, rpm -ivvh krecord*.rpm should get you going. That bin/moc might be a red herring, so try this first, anyway.

298268 2004-12-03 02:53:00 And it appears that moc is a red herring. The moc that is the problem is part of qt3 (which is one of the clever display things), so it could be a path problem.

music on console moc might be a good thing, anyway. :D

Im finding this somewhat frustrating, and ive been down the garden path with this RPM before to.

It has been said that a picture tells the story best, and as the words i could find shouldnt be printed, heres the pictures instead:

millerton.co.nz

millerton.co.nz

But will it go? No

Perhaps a little relaxation in the back yard with power tools under the afternoon sun is just what i need for relaxation instead????

298270 2004-12-03 04:17:00 Aha . . . the . src didn't show in the google cache view I saw from that RPM-mandrakeclub . . . that is the source . And when you told the system to install it, it naturally said you already had it installed . Quite right . ;-)\

I would have thought that there might be a binary available . . . Try the RPMfind site?

But if you have to compile, you'll have to have gcc installed anyway . That will be on your mandrake CDs .

You need qt3 . That's what has qt3-moc in it . It's probably installed, but chack with that list of warnings you got in the make, and make sure things are where they should be . If you haven't got qt3, again it will be on the CDs . And you probably need the kde "devel" package .

298271 2004-12-03 04:39:00 Did you actually get the rpm from mandrakeclub_nl? It looks though the google cache to be a non-src one. Graham L (2)
298272 2004-12-03 04:57:00 I got the RPM from,
rpm.pbone.net

298274 2004-12-04 02:17:00 OK Chris, install the kdevelop package ,and the compiler package. (Both are included ont he Mandrake CDs). With those, the make ought to work. Graham L (2)
