| 298369 | 2004-12-01 06:43:00 | It goes like this: 64MB to 128MB - Now it works 128MB to 256MB - Stunning increase 256MB to 384MB - Windows will thank you 256MB to 512MB - Finally, you have "enough" - great increase 512MM to 1GB - Often won't notice it, but can be great depending on what you do 2GB to 4GB - Now you're talking :p Cheers George |

If you habe a GB then you can go as far as turning your pagefile off, which makes a huge performance increase. I have 512MB and my system chokes - frequently have less than 70MB free. Sometimes it goes below 8MB free... I put an extra 512MB in my server and it's increased in performance atleast ten fold. |
