298217 2004-11-30 19:13:00 I agree with Beama. Pegasus Mail by New Zealander, David Harris, is superb. I have been using it for a good eight years and have never had one problem. I believe Eudora is good too. You can get Pegasus here (http://www.pmail.com/).

Been using it since 1996 and it is super.
So many features: powerful and complex for techies but simple enough in basic form for my wife to use. :D

298219 2004-11-30 20:23:00 I've used the Outlook that comes with the MS Office suite as well as the default Outlook Express. Since I started with OE from Outlook, I never looked back. Personally, Outlook had too much gadgets and functions, etc. that I didn't need. OE is a straight simple software used for emailing -what more do we need an emailing software to do? ~~~~~ s y ~~~~~ (2054)

Hmm.....Going by the computers i have seen it is the most popular app after Outlook Express, and seeing as market share dictates worthiness then it must be pretty damn swish and naysayers must be elitist and out of touch with the average joe.......

Am i right?

Outlook is probably the most comprehensive Email client around, but given that it's pricey and security-loose, it's hardly to be recommended.

Netscape Messenger is tops for me.
