298505 2004-12-01 05:06:00 Does anyone know of a quick way to do this?
I have tried "view source" in 2 browsers, firefox and IE, but a search for "@" does not work. If it did, then Firefox would have highlighted them all at once giving the desired result.
Only reason I ask is the I have a website with about 7 pages, and a "hand" search, one by one, would take too long.
Cheers.

298506 2004-12-01 05:22:00 I doubt if anyone will help because if they do they may give away ideas to those who may want to sell these addresses and thus generate more spam than already exists. Currently I get around 50-60 messages per day of which 98% are spam and these p**s me off even though it is filtered as it still takes time to sort out what you want from what you dont as no tooll gets it 100% right. 298507 2004-12-01 05:36:00 Spampal does a good job of deleting spam . Set it up set 1 rule up and it'll delete emails (or whatever rule u apply),from the ISP .

So far today, I've had 71 emails 66 got deleted straight from the ISP email server . 5 valid emails came thru .

Highest so far is 104 emails lol (24/11) .

Spampal removed 96 out of 104 . The other 8 were valid . Spamapl can also blacklist whole isps or countries . And u can add ppl to a whitelist . So, those u know you'll still receive emails from .

I know in Netscape you just click on Edit, Find in This Page - will locate '@' . Firefox probably has the equivalent .

298511 2004-12-01 08:55:00 You guys get spam?

I got a the first bit of junk mail last week in about... 11 months....

That of course doesn't include the shite I get from orcon, seek, cocacola, and trademe, mind you I signed up for that...

Keep your email address to yourself and you'll be fine...

Don't use hotmail and you'll be fine....

Of course if you're in business thats a little bit harder....

298512 2004-12-01 10:29:00 been using gmail since July and i have not got one piece of spam , not one noone (22)
298513 2004-12-01 10:37:00 same here, not one bit, brilliant isnt it, oh and a gig of space too Prescott (11)
298514 2004-12-01 17:06:00 If you can't find an @ in a webpage's source it'll be because the mail form they're using will be script based, probably a cgi, which will contain the address on their server.

People use this quite a lot to avoid exactly what others have mentioned - email addresses being harvested by spammers.
