298140 2004-11-30 06:27:00 I use wmp10 and i find it to be the most handy, useful media playing app out there, with great support for everything I have thrown at it.

Overall it is mostly just a facelift for wmp9, but with a few new features, such as the ability to rip cd's to mp3 without a paid-for codec pack.

Overall I love it

298142 2004-11-30 21:30:00 Well I've installed it. Dont really use it that much. I use either Powerdvd, DVDxplayer for DVD. Or Jetaudio for everything else. And Nero for burning.

I've disabled XP's burning, and WMP 10 relies on it for burning. So, can't burn in it anyway.

Hope you have XP tho, as WMP 10 wont install / work on any other version of Windows.

I use Media 10 here. Works fine for me.

I have the same problem here with SWMBO. Walk in after work and sound turned off here! Looks in garage for woodchipper...... :-)

298144 2004-12-01 10:29:00 Yep Win Media 10 here to. Mainly use it since I could'nt be bothered installing anything else after my last format.
It does the job for audio stuff and hides to taskbar. Doesn't seem to be able to play christmas carols on my comp though ;)
