298988 2004-12-02 03:37:00 I already know it may not be posible.
I write a newsletter in M.S Works Then copy and paste it into 'thunderbird' then try and send it to another email address which sort of is successful but the recipient does not receive any of the graphics( clipart mostly) which I have spent hours creating suitable ones lol. It must have something to do with the files, that it will not accept at the other end? Thunderbird asks me if I wish it to be sent (hmpt) I know that is not right, hmlt? Hopefully you will know what I mean. Am I asking the impossible ? I have downloaded AbiWord v2 but try as I may I can not get it to work either, I have tried sending it as a attachment to Thunderbird then on to a fellow emails address. I can mostly send the text ok but the pictures come clipart will not appear the other end. I can mail it to myself and the graphic are there. Gosh this is a long email Sorry Any Ideas other than go buy a programme I am using windows me. Regards

Do you only send this to one recipient? If so then get them to use the same version of Works and file attach. If you are only doing this for a proofread then you can cut and paste the text only if this helps.

An Email client is not a Word processor which is the main problem. All formatting, text boxes, picture boxes will be lost. The layout will be lost.
It will not look the same in an Email. The only way if you need to compose in MSWorks and send to some othewr person is for them to have the same program or a convertor wich will allow them to read it.

298990 2004-12-02 06:12:00 You may be only linking the clipart into the newsletter rather than embedding it. This may be why it is only viewable on your machine.

Another option is to send the newsletter in a PDF format. If you create the newsletter in MS Works and save it as a .rtf (rich text format), and then convert it to a PDF file for emailing, then as long as they have adobe acrobat reader installed, your newsletter will retain its exact formatting.

This free PDF writer has been mentioned recently on PF1 as being good - CutePDF (www.cutepdf.com). Alternatively, you can use OpenOffice to create your newsletters and then convert it into a PDF at the same time.
