299078 2004-12-02 07:23:00 Hello george12

Have you thought about JetStream for Businesses? or Frame-relay?

Or have you thought about Co-location etc..?

Where are you getting that pricing from.

We sell CityLink 20GB for ~$650 per month with support for subnet ranges and unlimited national transit.

299080 2004-12-02 07:49:00 Frame relay and Business jetstream are both horribly expensive Stu, sadly. And the upload speed of business jetstream is only 600kbit.

Ninja, I got that price from paradise.net.nz, but your prices are obviously a lot better. $650 is slightly out of the price range though, I'm looking for about half that.

299081 2004-12-02 07:49:00 But what else do you sell Ninja? george12 (7)

Cable, DSL, Wireless, pretty much everything (being an ISP and all).

If you want a CIR of 10 Mbps you're going to be doing it pretty damn hard to get it for much cheaper.

299084 2004-12-02 09:36:00 ???

Here's how I figure it:

Telstra sells 10Mbit/1Mbit, 10GB for $139 / month.

This equates to 11Mbit total. I want 5Mbit/5Mbit (effectively same amount of speed) with 20GB. So the bandwidth is doubled.

AT MAXIMUM you would think the price would be doubled, but that would assume that the actual line and speed are worth nothing. Say that the speed is worth $60, and the bandwidth is worth $79 - then one would think: $218 / month.

Where is the logic?

299085 2004-12-02 09:37:00 Which ISP are you Ninja? george12 (7)
299086 2004-12-02 10:44:00 why dont you get heaps of 56kb connections and join them all togeather - at least you wont have to worry about bandwidth noone (22)
299087 2004-12-02 11:02:00 Mate, to get my CURRENT connection it would take about 50 lines -> 50 phone lines @ $40/month each -> $2000/month. For 10Mbit it would be $10,000 a month. Now admittedly that's cheaper than a 3,240GB citylink connection (the maximum bandwidth you could use on the dialup conn's). So yeah. Not really an option. george12 (7)
