| 298942 | 2004-12-02 00:56:00 | Ok as a slight add on to the other thread i have tried to update Windows Media Player, downloads ok (takes about 40 mins?) and then box close's and it disappeers, and cannot get it to open install or whatever. what should i be doing? found the update on windows update etc, open file and it tells me its not a win 32 ? application or some such thing... on wrong puter so will have to rehash it, or think really hard???? so im lost to what im doing wrong? does this thing need to be restarted or something..... cannot rember ever updateing it before. Help! LOL beetle |

| 298943 | 2004-12-02 01:01:00 | It either didnt download the whole exe file completely, or u have something like a virus. Which has screwed it up. If this is WMP 10, and u havent got XP it might not install either. |

| 298947 | 2004-12-02 01:42:00 | WMP10 should still install without sp2 (as far as i know),i jut mentioned it because sp2 installs wmp9(i think its 9 that sp2 installs) which will give you the "play from the taskbar" feature your after. If SP2 kills your work comp and causes all sorts of greif that i completley deny having mentioned it...... Infact,even this post doesn't exsist.. |
