299558 2004-12-04 07:13:00 i sorta had the same issue as you did fus1_n, happend to me when i upgraded from intergrated to a radeon 9600se Prescott (11)
299559 2004-12-04 07:31:00 Ooh!!!!

I just upgraded from Integrated to a 9600SE too. And I find the performance better, but still disappointing since it cost more than my whole motherboard. Maybe reinstalling Windows will fix it.

I will be doing this in a few days anyway, as I am buying a new HDD (160GB, arriving in a few days) and know that my windows really needs a fresh install, so I'm using this as a chance.

A reinstall should fix ... if you can be bothered.

Cheers

299560 2004-12-04 07:43:00 No 9600SE's really do suck. fus1_n (3818)
299561 2004-12-04 07:46:00 Do they suck as much as SiS 661FX?

Anyway, only $105 :)

299562 2004-12-04 08:10:00 Are you using the 67.03 beta drivers?? As this is what it says it fixes.

Release Highlights:

The issues that some users have reported seeing when using the GeForce 6600 GT AGP are due to a driver bug which causes 3D corruption when this GPU is used with certain motherboards, most notably SIS motherboards. The fix is included in this release.

299565 2004-12-06 06:07:00 before?
Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

299566 2004-12-06 08:46:00 I guess before.

Note that SP2 installs one pretty rescent version of Nvidia drivers, and also Direct X 9.0c. So dont waste your time getting the new version of Direct X.

299567 2004-12-08 10:15:00 Did you manage to fix this?

I recieved my card today and it done the same thing,Looking at the nvidia FAQ its listed as a known problem when running on an motherboard using the SiS chipset,They have released a set of Beta drivers that suposedly sort the issue.

I'm downloading it now and will know in a few minutes if the handshake is indeed golden...
