| 299534 | 2004-12-04 00:58:00 | Well I must say that my HL2 experience has been marred by an apparently annoying and frequently occurring bug. (see here) (pressf1.pcworld.co.nz) The bug is quite prevailant amongst many HL2 and Counterstrike Source fans and to say the least it's pissing people off. From what I've read it has been around since before HL2's release... if this is true I would say that Valve has sold us a half baked product... taking into account that not all software is bug free... I would hesitate to say that Valve has actually taken a decent look into the problem.... many CS players have tried to come up with their own fixes but nothing has seemed to work at this stage. Having said all this HL2 is still a great looking and sounding game.... story line appears quite linear and boring but the eye and ear candy definitely make up for it in some respects. I am a bit dissappointed that I can't play more than about 8 minutes of either HL2 or CS... I guess it's back to Halo on PC until a fix is found.... | 299535 | 2004-12-04 02:05:00 | Yeah it sux that you are getting that error. I got that error when playing HL2 with an inferior card like a TNT2. :D I wouldn't say the game was halfd baked, I'm only half way though it, but so far it's the best single player game ever made. |

I'm saying that considering that this game has been in development for 4+ years you'd think that at the very least they would try and solve this bug ASAP... as I said before it was a known issue prior to release.... that's why I say it's "half baked" cheers chiefnz |
