299449 2004-12-03 20:11:00 Something has happened to my WinXP computer. When I go to the users screen nothing comes up. I have ran antivirus, adware and spyware and got rid of all those, but still nothing comes up in the user account screen. How can I get this back?

Cheers

299450 2004-12-03 20:23:00 Is this when you open up Users from the Control Panel, or on the Welcome screen when you boot up XP and each user account is listed there?

If it is under the Control Panel > Users, when you try and open it does nothing happen or it opens but no accounts are listed at all?

299451 2004-12-03 21:24:00 Happens in control panel when I click on User Accounts the user account screen comes up but nothing is there. When I boot up it brings all the users names up and the passwords are still working but we can't change any of the settings as when we go to control panel, user account nothing comes up.

299452 2004-12-03 22:04:00 Try it this way:

Start --> Run --> Type in compmgmt.msc --> Select --> Select [b]Users.

This shows all accounts on your PC, and although you may have little experience with the interface (or you may already know and be super pro) you can achieve much more from here.

So check if that works...

299453 2004-12-04 06:41:00 Yes that works fine, but how do I get the user account screen back to normal, at the moment it just comes up as a blank screen, how do I get the user names and icons back? xineohp (3165)
