299926 2004-12-06 10:09:00 yes i have never posted on ocnz forums just read - although it now may pain some of you some of there threads have some value ( even after i tried to post i could not , must have been something about subscribing - dont we do enough by signing up and verfiying our email ). I find this fourm much better in both the layout ( having everything where ever , and the ocnz colour scheme ... ) also the people here are much nicer noone (22)

299928 2004-12-06 10:41:00 Ah ... See, that shows how ignorant someone with ~800 posts can be :p george12 (7)
299929 2004-12-06 20:29:00 Postcount has nothing to do with ignorance, knowledge, quality-of-information, character, daily thread readings.......

...It tells you how often that person finds the need to share an opinion.

Speaking now as somebody who's posted over 9k times since the start of this new forum, I can honestly say that while the better part of them have been useful (Or so I would hope) not all have been good sound & solid advice.

If you didnt read the forum rules, then got kicked, that sounds a lot more like what we should be adopting (Perhaps a second chance) but Im willing to bet the OCNZ Forums dont have ***** threads that go on for days.

Damn right it doesn't.

299931 2004-12-06 22:53:00 I think the tone of at least one of their moderators tells it all:

>whetu: We banned you because when you made that post you had 99 >posts.
>george00: But ... that was my 100th!
>whetu: Shut Up. You are not U83R 133T 3N0UGH. Go away

I've taken a look at their forums and website, and they're:

A) Amateurish in design
B) Childish in online behaviour
C) Elitest in what they think they know
D) Commercial beyond the realms of decent forum advertising

Their protocol of not allowing regular members view, let alone advertise on their STE forums is proof enough that the site owner is a business selling PC parts and doesn't want any sales competition...!

>>>Overclockers Ltd Ming Chieh Chung
>>>2 Cintra Place
>>>Casebrook
>>>Christchurch

The moderators are just gun-bunnies for the site owner, I guess, and who knows, maybe even get a commision on sales that each one encourages through the owner's site!?

299935 2004-12-07 01:37:00 if you have a forum with a shop , you would expect a huge influence from the shop itself , therefor ocnz forums would always be a biasd forum noone (22)
