| 299684 | 2004-12-05 23:34:00 | Usually for IRC clients u dont need a password . (Well u need a password for your nick, so noone else can use it, thats the only password you need . Not a password to actually get into/onto the server itself . Unless the channel is invite ONLY . Then u may need a password to get into that channel . BUT you can't have two channels with the same name (if one has been registered), to someone already . If the server lets u register a channel (most I know of do) . The server doesn't usually allow you to do this . |

| 299688 | 2004-12-08 00:43:00 | Hi Spacemannz, I see from the other thread re:Chills IRC Server, it doesn't appear that you have managed to sort out the proper email addy for ChatF1 yet? I had a look for my old email from when i got my password, found it, however this was a good six months ago, so it "may" not be the same, as i know the site addy changed slightly... and i haven't logged into Chatf1 in ages either :-(, so my password and username are probably dead by now too. Its - liam At farr dot Net dot NZ I get around this kind of thing by using/setting my hotmail account to put in trash anything not on safe list, which will then get deleted in 7? days or so anyway, auto, if i don't check them - But it gives me the chance to look through for anything i am expecting... However if you set it to just delete anything not on the safe list, well thats another story. I must admit though, i am really lucky with my hotmail addy ;-) and in the 3 or so years i have used that alt. addy it hasn't acquired tons of junk constantly, which is very unusual, not that i mind at all ;-). HTH, its definately worth a try. |

A lot more ppl to chat to there (in real time), instead of trying to figure out what someones email is on here lol . And checking to see how many ppl (if any) are on the ChatF1 , or George's server . It would be a lot better, instead of trying to create an irc channel from scratch . Just use and create a channel on a server, that currently exists (like Austnet) . At least u can create the channel, register your nick, (and keep it) . And save yourself trying to get a password thru email, just to log into a website, just to chat . Yup I dont use Hotmail that much . I just cant be bothered finding somewhere else, for an email lol . |
