300391 2004-12-07 01:51:00 I have set up user accounts on my computer, but suddenly when I log on as a limited account (such as Guest), a message comes up saying 'The security log on this system is full, only Administrators can log on to fix this problem'. But I don't know how.

Other Info:
OS: Windows XP Professional
Logon Type: Welcome Screen/Switch User

Any help would be appreciated.

Kind Regards,
Squibler

300393 2004-12-07 02:14:00 wait a bit longer ;-) , most of the forums experts dont come to later on in the eveing - this time is not the most popular as most people are at work noone (22)
300394 2004-12-07 02:20:00 It sometimes takes a while, Squibler ...

You must have been Administrator to set the logging.;-)

Ctrl/Alt/Del should give you the option to "Logout". Then enter ADMINISTRATOR in the "User" panel. "Tab" to the "Password" panel, and try no password ---just "Enter". If the Administrator account has got a password and you don't know it you have real problems.:-(

300395 2004-12-07 03:18:00 Just logon as the computer administrator. Right click on my computer and click manage. Expand the Event Viewer and you should see Application, Security and System. Right click on each of them in turn and select properties. You can then clear the logs or change the size of the log files.
Is this what you were trying to do?

300396 2004-12-07 21:41:00 I do know the password for Administrator and I do have permission for it, I just don't know how to clear the security log.

300397 2004-12-07 22:07:00 Then just login as the administrator and do what I suggested above to clear the logs.
