| 1376157 | 2014-05-29 22:03:00 | Sony Vaio VGN-NW280F Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit Internet Explorer v10 and previously v11 opens to a white window then in about 15 second closes internet connectivity ~ works Mozilla Firefox ~ works Reset Internet Explorer settings: fails on Applying default settings downgraded from IE v11 to IE10: no change scanned with Malwarebytes: clean tried opening in Safe Mode: no change Windows security updates: no change other symptoms: right click on My Computer, Properties ~ will not open Windows Live Mail will not print an e-mail I am inclined to think all these problems are related would like assistance on getting IE & WLM working correctly. | 1376160 | 2014-05-29 23:52:00 | Try starting in safemode with networking, if it then opens, try running antimalware programs like Adwcleaner, IF it has AVG , uninstall it, its useless anyway, AVG is known to cause the problem. Has the computer got any of those rubbish reg cleaners or performance enhancing programs ? You may want to run sfc as well. |
