2014-05-21 03:10:00 | Sounds like something hasnt been connected properly then if the PSU is the prob. It looks like that video card needs 2 6 pin connectors too. Did you plug these in?? Does the PSU have 2 6 pin connectors on it? | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2014-05-21 03:56:00 | Has this problem been happening from square one or has the PC been running for a couple of days\hours before this happened? 750 Watt PSU... What brand, how old? If it's cheap enough it won't be able to compete with even a decent 400 Watt unit.

2014-05-21 04:01:00 | I Reset the Cmos and now it's running all the time but I have no video and an error message of A9 (BIOS setup is started) whatever that means and what can I do about it? | lostsoul62 (16011) | |
2014-05-21 04:11:00 | What connector did you plug the monitor into?? The onboard video or this videocard? Looks like you can get A9 error if its in the wrong video output. Or you may have to select PEG for the graphics display in the BIOS, so it can find / use the videocard you installed Instead of trying to use the onboard video (if there's nothing plugged into any of the outputs) I would also read the manual. it may have the errors and the fixes in it. So if this card you installed has 2 6 pin connectors, did you plug 2 6 pin connectors from the PSU into these plugs?

2014-05-21 05:27:00 | Might be best to get it working without the graphics card initially until you get it starting reliably. It will also shut itself down if the CPU heatsink and fan is not installed properly and the CPU is getting too hot - can be almost instant so 2 seconds is feasible. Make sure you have both Power connector s hooked up to the motherboard as well, there is usually the main 24 Pin connector and a secondary 4 pin (sometimes two of them ) normally located near the CPU.

2014-05-21 06:04:00 | **** Disconnect the HD untill its sorted ***** Go back to basics to sort it out Things to try Remove vid card, use onboard vid (if you have it) Try just a single stick of RAM , reseat the RAM carefully. Disconnect all mb connector cables except power . eg USB cables, reset, LED etc remove the start button cable and use a screwdriver or paper clip to start it (be carefull) .

2014-05-21 06:08:00 | And some posts on the GB forum site, say that A9 error may have something to do with using a separate videocard. And to remove it connect it a VGA connection (with the onboard VGA), , configure the BIOS first, then see if it works. if its all go, reinstall the videocard Then things may work properly
