| 1360433 | 2013-11-21 01:39:00 | The wrong side :( Live in a small isolated town, so not really surprising. ADSL here seldom reaches 1 Mb/s usually a LOT slower. No cell phone or mobile BB unless in line of sight to Westport 70 km away. It's frustrating, but there are consolations to be had in the lifestyle sense. RBI roll out spreadsheets constantly push our turn back further and further. Was to have been year 4, then year 5, last one I saw it was year 6!!!! of a 5 year rollout WTF??? Just waiting for them to put us in the too hard basket. They will I feel, as to improve speeds here they must replace the microwave link that carries our phone and BB out to Westport. The replacement will involve 30-40 kms of fibreoptic cable over the Karamea Bluffs. This will cost a bomb, so I can well see them giving us the flick. |
