1360090 2013-11-18 23:36:00 I have got a real smart watch. It is a Seiko Kinetic. Just bought it a year ago to replace my previous Kinetic. They don't have an internet connection (thank God!!!!) but are pretty amazing timekeepers. Previous one I only had to adjust time twice a year, and that was because of daylight saving. For 12 years it gained no more than 5 seconds or less, during that period of time. New one doing the same so far.

The beauty of it is that to find out the time, I just twist my wrist and look at it. :)

I have decided to play the Luddite card on these smart watches.

I'm with you on that one! I still have my trusty Casio G Shock watch ( no longer in production) . It also displays the time and is great in the water and has a stop watch function on it :)

Oh yes.! A quality watch beats a fancy phone all the time for me,

1360094 2013-11-19 02:26:00 I don't see the point in carrying devices that duplicate functions.
Hence I have a phone.

No smart watch
No normal watch
No MP3 player
No Camera
etc etc etc

1360095 2013-11-19 02:29:00 Considered it, but the low battery life put me off. Will probably grab a Gear 2 next year, if some of the rumours turn out to be true. inphinity (7274)
