| 1359936 | 2013-11-27 19:36:00 | Well, I have now given up on the Android Mail app - since it was updated, it will not show attachments to incoming mail. I installed AquaMail from the Google Playstore, and it works fine - in fact I think it is better than the standard Android eMail app included on my Nexus 7 even before it was updated. | John H (8) | ||

Downloaded extra loud sound from play store, but can't see how to get from app to sounds in settings. |

I agree with what CS said about the delay in the unlock screen - I've noticed it to be quicker too which is always a plus. And like everyone else the orange "on" light for WiFi, Mobile Data etc. And of course like the standard N5 it now comes with SMS through Hangouts etc. All in all - still love my N4 :) |

That would get her attention, if you don't mind me mentioning such an intimate topic regarding "The Memsahib". Downloaded extra loud sound from play store, but can't see how to get from app to sounds in settings. Cic, with my N7, I use an app called Music Volume to boost the speakers, and it works. As my N7 isn't a phone, I don't know if it works for something like your issue. I did a search of the PlayStore from my N7 for "ringtone volume booster" and three apps came up, one of which claims to boost ring tone as well as music volume. It is called "Volume Control +", and it says it is designed for phones. Might be worth checking it out? [Edit - hmmm, I see that has already been recommended above.] |

If it's orange in your quick-toggles, it means it can't establish a connection to Googles servers, either because you've got no internetz, your mobile-data has run out, or because you're on a super anal corporate firewall that's blocking it. |

I have dowloaded loud sounds on my N4, I end up with screen full of very nice sounds, as far as I can see no way of getting them to operate when phone rings, or when recieving a text. I am practicing on mine so as to be able to sort memsahib. |
