Lets stay with Google News. What location do I type in, http, if it is not showing. Browse? That shows things that are already on this computer. PJ

So I google google news & get it on screen. Hihglighted under the name is ...news.google.co.nz. I assume this is the URL/link/address? So I highlight it in an attempt to copy & paste but then it opens the news page. On the Desktop if I select Shortcut is ....news.google.co.nz...What I put into the URL box? PJ

1375401 2014-05-22 06:46:00 Yup if you want it on the desktop right mouse / new shortcut. Where it says type the location of the item, type in news.google.co.nz then next, give it a name, click on finish thats it. Its a shortcut to Google news

You type the url in where it says type the location of the item

If you know the url you dont have to copy and paste from a browser, just type it in after you create a shortcut for whatever site on the desktop
