It's been proven (in Europe) that speed humps increase pollution, with vehicles spewing out more exhaust gas due to constant speed up, slow down effect those goddam speed humps create. Not to mention the increased amount of fuel required. A road is for traffic to get from A to B quickly and efficiently, not a device for politicians to pander to the local nimbies. 1360943	2013-11-28 02:20:00	When the story originally broke a couple of weeks ago they were going to replace all the signs but they changed it to over a 10 year period. Still think "Lefty Len" and his pack of big spenders will bankrupt Auckland in the next 10 years. This week around Pt Chev there have decided to spend mega $$$$$$$$$ on putting speed humps in any side road that doesn't have a stop sign on it.. 10 years, mate we are allready there. Have a look at how muck AK council is paying on INTEREST alone, on the loans it allready has. And there seems no end to the borrow then spend cycle at AK council. 1Million PER DAY in interest, 20% of rates going to interest on loans thats interst only, not actually paying off debt :mad: I really pitty the next generation coming through. They are the ones who will have to deal with all this, the mess we leave them in. Greece, here we come.	1101 (13337)
