1360096 2013-11-19 02:41:00 I don't see the point in carrying devices that duplicate functions.
Hence I have a phone.

No smart watch
No normal watch
No MP3 player
No Camera
etc etc etc

Once I can find a phone that just does text and calls, shows the time and can hold over 140gb of music, I might switch. Till then, I'm still using an old Nokia and an Ipod

1360097 2013-11-19 03:16:00 I doubt many people need to carry that much music around. In lossless format that would equate to something like 400 albums. Nice to have your whole collection with you I'm sure but to actually listen to all of it would take years, and if its not lossless you'd fit up to 5 times as much.

I can stick a 64 GB SD card in my phone, more than enough space for my music collection.

1360098 2013-11-19 04:17:00 Ive got one of those round watches that has numbers on it, one big hand & one little hand, & a tick tock hand Also has a basic calender. Really modern as I dont have to wind it. The one before this one lasted 15 years With a few new batteries along the way. PJ Poppa John (284)

1360100 2013-11-19 06:28:00 I bought a watch on line.
Its Eco drive, which means it works from light.
I paid $200 and saw it to day in jewelers for $300.

1360101 2013-11-19 09:37:00 I had a wind up watch for about 12 years, then a few cheap plastic casios until cellphones with clocks on them became the norm. Then I stopped wearing them and haven't missed them at all. there's almost always a clock around or there's the phone.
I do still own 2 watches but just don't wear them, if I did I think I'd look for a new wind up one. Not everything has improved with technology.

1360102 2013-11-19 11:53:00 Yeah can't say this current generation smart-watch looks too appealing...

The "requirement" to carry 140GB with you too, seems a little obsessive (and excessive?): www.youtube.com

1360104 2013-11-19 18:02:00 I have pledged my fair share of contribution for a Kreyos Smartwatch: www.indiegogo.com

Original delivery date is supposed to be this month, but it has been pushed to after Christmas.

For those who want one as soon as possible, Pebble is the way to go: https://getpebble.com/
