oh. ok. that explains why the phpBB and phpNet testing boards on my localhost address are a helluva lot faster than the vBulletin one.

There's only one thing that exceeds a Cantabrian Marg.

Yes I know, apart for a blip late in the season and beating up on the minnows (a long Canty tradition) that was pretty much how it panned out.

Okay, maybe we should join the others on topic now, it'll save you Canty folk more embarrassment ]:)

300791 2004-12-08 07:55:00 Of course they're faster if they're local Megaman....

Yes, I like the Gentoo forums too, but Bruce (And probably others) have decided vBulletin it is.

Post other forum URL's all you like but it wont make Bruce change the software any more...

no, no. all three (phpBB, phpNet and vBull) are all running on localhost

also Mozillazine is running it, and someone made a firefox extension for phpBB forums (Easy BB code)

No, it means that 250 of them have been a waste of time! Mine are too, but I don't post as much as you ;)

300795 2004-12-08 09:49:00 what about the other 50 noone (22)
300796 2004-12-08 10:11:00 About the categories. I think 1, and only 1 category is good.

I hate having to read through everything, and take 5 minutes just to decide where abouts to post.

Much better to have everything just there in my opinion.

300797 2004-12-08 10:16:00 yes and that way all the topics are seen by everyone - so that people cannot just choose what they are going to view - increase traffic , increase posts , make the poster more likely to get a suitable/helpful answer noone (22)

Do you get flybuys with your post count ~ or a different coloured sheriffs badge depending on the number. Who gives a rats arse how many posts you have made
