My computer was working fine yesterday and now it isnt. I turn it on, fans happen, lights happen, cd drive spins, NO beeps and monitor- no signal. The machine is amd athlon 2200, G4mx. |

So the monitor is powering on but not showing any signal from PC? Obviously check the cables and check the monitor on another PC. Is this onboard video or not. I have had this happen on an older PC and the ram was faulty. I changed the ram and all was well. |

hardware is driving me mad. i check the cables and it doesnt work. i plug in another monitor and it works. so maybe the monitor is dead. but i plug the old monitor back in and it works as though there had never been any problems! well. there is still the issue that everytime i boot up it alternates which sound card is installed but at least im getting visuals. thanx. ineffable problem solved! |

If you are using a graphics card make sure it is seated into the slot properly and screwed firmly into place |
