302107 2004-12-11 20:46:00 Morning all.

I have installed on my home computer an apache webserver and sucessfully installed MYSQL as well. I have a cable (telstra saturn) conenction and can access the server acros the net. It displays HTML pages real well.

But when I try to run PHP code (have installed version 5) it doesnt seem to recognise it or do anything.

I have reinstalled all the software with a download from www.apachefriends.org/en/ . I am running Fedora Core 3.

Now I am baffled. Any hints on anything obvious I am not doing.

Looking forward to your replys.

Regards

Richard

302109 2004-12-11 21:28:00 the bleeding edge has cut you. try php version 4.x.x, as many apps won't like php 5 Megaman (344)
302110 2004-12-11 22:08:00 how do you enable the mod-php in the apache.conf file? kiwirik2001 (2583)
302111 2004-12-12 20:19:00 You might want to have a look at a program called XAMPP (free) which is apache/mysql/php/perl/ all pre-configured so it's easy to install.

I use the windows version for testing out web stuff, and it works great.
