| 301868 | 2004-12-10 22:01:00 | Have got an old Toshiba Stelite 4070 CDT laptop computer. How do I enter the BIOS setup of this machine? Tried Del and F2 keys but they both don't work. While booting, there is only the Toshiba logo and goes to Windows straight away. Any idea what key(s) to press in order to go to the BIOS setup? Cheers |

| 301874 | 2004-12-10 22:55:00 | From power off mode (no power save or hibernate or whatever) turn on the laptop and hold down the ESC key. You should be prompted to then press F1 to enter the bios. This works for other Toshiba laptop models, so it might work for yours. Mike. |

This utility provides a relatively user-friendly way to change the CMOS settings. Changes to some of the settings will require re-starting the PC (and Windows). HWSetup was pre-installed on all but early Toshiba notebook models. If it doesn't appear as a Control Panel applet on your notebook, you may be able to download it from the Toshiba Support website as part of the Toshiba Utilities package for your model. Mike. |

| 301877 | 2004-12-10 23:34:00 | Yes, Mike's right. You can download the toshiba boot disk from toshiba. This allows you to boot the the setup screens. One of the options then is to create a partition to install the setup files to. |
