| 301920 | 2004-12-12 03:04:00 | Why do so many dislike seriously M/S . Tall poppy they say, NA . Because it has: virus, worm, and crashes all the time, NA . Because its stolen, and its crap, NA . Because of the way its marketed, because M/S keep reinventing the wheel, bloating it off the planet, and with Chipzilla FORCEING eveyone to continuosly dump perfectly good hardware to keep up, and ripping evergody off in the process . That's why they are hated, and will allways be hated, no matter what they do, they are controll freaks, whom have crossed a line, They can never return, they are "The Enemy" . An examply of an, Ecologically and Socially irresponcible runnaway corporate Beast . . Bill may be the figurehead, but corporate M/S Is an Evil Beast in its own right . Should Bill die today, nothing would really change, the business model is to set . Various seinteists, some of them New Zealanders brought the atom bomb to life, are these people totally responcible for every nuclear disaster or abuse for time immorial? Hence Bill can not be held rersponcible for evey act of the corporate Beast he has Spawned, Even if perhaps he has made a pact with the Devil . D . |

Looking back at that thread you were getting pretty heated and yruned nasty. But I forgive you and accept your apology. No, seriously, i wasnt beingnasty... i just forgot to put in emoticons... how can a "you must b drunk" comment be taken as nasty. I was incinuating that you were off mark with your comments. >! It's called progress, and that's the main reas............ You've already sed that like 6 times... >Find a release for your hatred or you'll explode. My release is pressf1...posting here and rantingon hubs with my dc peers... >> , it makes it much harder to switch into linux. A totally different brainset. >Not really. Notreally?! Its completely different way of doing things... aside from the GUI anyway which any monkey could use... >divert some of the energy that your using for hatred and you'll do OK. This hatred is good. Its constructive... It means that I am more motivated to switch away from MS products and it shows that I have not been sucked in by MS's shiny buttons.... |

Whats that saying....absolute power corrupts or something.... money is a form of power... look how much money MS have.... anyway I shud stop ranting about this.... |

On the other side you do like to tell this chap what he shoud think,I can tell you now,it will never work. The day you change someone from unreasonble to resonable will never come.I mean generally not specifically. |

| 301929 | 2004-12-12 06:09:00 | What does Bill have to do with Windows? that's a good question . Specifically, his title is Chief Software Designer, ie, the person with the overview . Spout, your still wrong IMO . No matter what you add to Windows in the way of security, it's still not as secure as a Unix based OS . You could lock it down that tight that it becomes functionally unusable, and it still would not be a secure . Go back to the basics as to why this is true . Even a Linux Windows clone is more secure, although some have done their best to destroy it's natural advantage by shipping with root privileges for the user by default, despite that a Windows machine run in Admin mode is less secure than a Linux machine run as root . I'm afraid it's that basic difference again that can not be all together overcome by reliance on add in applications, which also have their own vulnerabilities . What I do agree with you on, Window's popularity is not all down to marketing and dubious practices, as long as Windows remains the more useable for the broadest range of users it will remain the predominant OS . |
